Hey there, rock star!

My name is Xio [ pronounced ZEE-oh], I’m a Philly girl, and my pronouns are she/her. I write different flavours of contemporary fiction and romance.

I grew up in the music business. Studios and stages were my playground as a kid, so I learned early on that almost everything sounds better with a fat bass line and a solid rhythm pocket. My background tends to sneak into my writing, and I like to think it makes my characters feel like they’re dancing along to their own soundtrack. They certainly have playlists in my head.

I’ve earned a few accolades, but am most proud of my passionate readership. Even after dozens of in-person events, every reader interaction still feels like magic to me, so I love hitting the road to meet the people.

Full disclosure, I am a completely unapologetic, badge-wearing, fic-writing fangirl who spends way too much time on social media sharing my latest obsessions. I’m also passionate about human rights and mental health awareness—causes that weave their way into my stories. I write to reflect the world I want to live in. Many of my books deal with love, loss, and the messy business of figuring out who you really are, no matter your age or background.

Let’s see, what else?

I live in complete denial of the last five minutes of Buffy and share a century-year-old row home with one very patient, full-time indoor husband and two part-time, supremely pampered outdoor cats who behave as if they’re auditioning for a reality series. (The cats, not the husband.)

When I’m not behind the keyboard mending fictional heartbreaks, you’ll find me behind the mic in a studio or performing as The Lillys. You can even check us out on Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify.
