Hello, my lovelies!

I’m back from the 2017 RT Booklovers Convention, which took place in Atlanta, GA. It was a fantastic event, and I was able to meet so many of you. Thanks for coming down/out/over, lol. Hope to see you again in Reno. 🙂

This week, my friend Angi Morgan joins us with her latest release, Hit and Run Hallie. Before we get to know Hallie, though, I sat down with Angi and asked her a few fun questions. 🙂

Welcome to FoX Friday, Angi!

Thank you for having me her today Xio. I’d love to give all your readers a free copy of Hit and Run Hallie (check out the end of the post for details).

Wow, that’s so generous of you! Tell me, did you always want to be a writer? If not, what else did you want to do?

Yes, Always. I wrote all sorts of stories as a child. AND began my first romance (western) when I was in the 6th grade. I returned home for a high school reunion just after I sold
my classmates were very supportive and told me they knew I’d make it.

Awww, that’s fantastic. It’s so important to get that support. What rituals help to get your mojo flowing so you can write?

Oh my gosh, I play spider solitaire, and use orange-ginger energy lotion from Bath & Body Works. I thank Suzanne Brockmann for the scent idea of taking me back into the story. And I thank Kathleen Baldwin for giving me permission to play a game.

Oh, I like that scent stimulation. I’ll have to try it! What type of music do you listen to?

Wordless soundtracks: Knight & Day, R.E.D., the Green Zone, Longmire (when I want a cowboy mood), and my favorite right now
El Dorado by Two Steps From Hell.  Amazon actually recommended that to me so it was a total fluke I found it.

I love stumbling across new favourites that way. 🙂 Do you write with music playing, or do you need silence?

Both. Action
I need the music.

I completely understand. It gets the adrenaline flowing. Name three authors (living or dead) who you’d like to sit down to dinner with and pick their brains.

I can never answer this question. I love to chat with all creative souls. It’s so exciting speaking with someone who’s famous, but I get tongue tied. But that same excitement is at the table with someone who is writing because they love it and not in it for the business. If I could sit with one person, it would have been my grandfather who passed in 1978. He was a very quiet man who led a very interesting and hard life. I miss that I didn’t get to know him that well.

Awww, if only we could do that. Right? There are so many in my family tree I’d love to get to know. Finish this sentence: You gotta love a man who…

Puts you first above all else. And who’ll rub your feet even when he’s tired.

Find a man that will do both! 😉 What was the nicest comment or most interesting question you’ve received from a reader?

I had a fan who wrote letting me know that she used my books to introduce her daughter to romance. What a huge compliment!

That is a huge compliment! Well, Angi, thanks again for being here. Come back any time.

Thanks again for having me. This is always fun. I wanted to add that my new Bodyguards in Heels series combines genres I love: suspense, comedy, supernatural gifts and romance. One of my favorite parts is writing about family and strong women who can definitely take care of themselves. These characters are so much fun.

Let’s learn a little more about Hit and Run Hallie!

Guarding clients is easy. Staying one step ahead of their match-making Grammy
well that’s another story.

Bodyguards in Heels is a new series from USA Today & Publisher’s Weekly bestselling author Angi Morgan. Join the girls in their favorite heels as they spend their family time learning about their supernatural gifts, their days guarding rich clients and their nights having a whole lot of fun.

A late-blooming ability to hear people’s thoughts ruins more than Hallie Barton’s carefully constructed FBI career. Shouldn’t the man who says he loves her believe in her rather than offer to pay for her psychiatric care?

Hallie’s grandmother, always a little off her rocker anyway, calls it a gift and suggests the now single and former special agent use the skill in private investigations company that employs every cousin in their unusually large family. With all of her big-bad mind-reading abilities, shouldn’t she have known Grammy arranged for their first client to be the last person Hallie ever wanted to see again?

Level-headed FBI Agent Gage Sanders can’t get Hallie, his former best friend and partner, to talk to him. He should’ve believed in Hallie when she said she could read people’s minds. Now he has two problems
Not only is he in love with a woman with woo-woo powers who won’t give him the time of day, but she’s the only one he can trust to protect a secret informant on one of the FBI’s Most Wanted. Can Hallie “hear” just how much he’s in love with her and forgive him the stupidest mistake of his life?
